Course Equivalency for Students Enrolled in Our Faculty Based on Vertical Transfer Exam Results 2026-2027

Course Transfer and Exemption Applications for Students Admitted through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS)

Students admitted to the departments of our Faculty through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) for the Fall Semester of the 2026–2027 academic year must submit the Course Transfer and Exemption Petition provided below, together with all required supporting documents, by email to ogrenci.muhendislik@alanya.edu.tr no later than the close of business on 24 September 2026.

The following documents must be submitted with the petition:

  • A transcript showing the courses completed at the student’s previous institution, in PDF format
  • Course descriptions or syllabi for those courses, in PDF format
  • The completed Course Transfer Table, in Excel format

The purpose of the Course Transfer Table is to indicate which courses in the student’s current programme they wish their previously completed courses to be recognised as equivalent to. The current curricula for all departments of the Faculty are available below. Students should consult the curriculum of the programme in which they are enrolled to obtain the course names, course codes, and other information required to complete the table. Instructions on how to fill in the table are also provided within the relevant cells.

Course Transfer and Exemption Petition

When selecting a semester in the Course Transfer Table, students must select the semester in which the equivalent course appears in the curriculum of their current programme. For example, if a course was completed in the second semester at the student’s previous institution but is offered in the third semester of their current programme, it must be entered under the third-semester section of the table.

Students may also apply to have elective courses previously completed—including Sports and Fine Arts electives—that do not appear in the curriculum of their current programme recognised in place of other courses in that curriculum, provided that the course content is considered sufficiently equivalent. Course descriptions can be accessed through the link below by selecting the relevant programme, listing its courses, and clicking the information icon (i) to the left of each course title.

Course Catalogue and Descriptions

Applications submitted by 24 September 2026 will be reviewed by the relevant committees. Approved course transfers and exemptions will then be entered into the Student Information System by the Faculty Student Affairs Office. Students who apply for course recognition should therefore not register for courses until the evaluation process has been completed. Once the process is finalised, these students will be granted the right to complete late course registration with an approved excuse.

All applications must be emailed to ogrenci.muhendislik@alanya.edu.tr by the close of business on 24 September 2026. Applications that are incomplete or not submitted in accordance with the instructions above will be considered invalid.
