Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department in General
History of the Department:
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department undergraduate program was established in 2018 and will start education by accepting 70 students (including 10 international students) in 2018-2019 academic year. Education medium will be English in the department.
Aim of the Program:
Aim of the program is to educate students who, are able to analytical thinking, are equipped with basic engineering knowledge, are able to design, have professional and ethical consciousness of responsibility, are able to gain acceptance in every levels of national and international companies, and are useful to their country and all the humanity.
The Education System
Electrical and Electronics Engineering undergraduate program covers totally 5 years 1 year (2 semesters) of English preparatory class, followed by 4 years (8 semesters) of engineering education.) Students who are successful in English proficiency exam start directly from the first year without attending the preparatory class.
In the first two years of the undergraduate program, introduction to engineering, basic science and basic engineering courses are given mainly. In the next two academic years, Electrical and Electronics Engineering courses and laboratory applications are the most important. Our students can choose elective courses according to their interests and competencies. Since our curriculum is structured with an innovative approach based on research and projects, it aims to train students with realistic engineering and design problems.
Our undergraduate program aims aim to provide their development in different fields of interest, by providing opportunities for students to take non-field elective courses of humanities and social sciences.
Students who have successfully completed our four-year undergraduate program qualify Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineer title.

Duties of Electrical and Electronics Engineers:
The main tasks of the electrical and electronics engineers (which may vary depending on the sector they work in and their position in this sector) in general can be listed as: to prepare a work plan and to ensure that it is carried out properly, to ensure the smooth execution of the operations at the production stage, to evaluate the quality of the product, to provide project design and coordination, to perform reliable and efficient operation of the system under his/her responsibility, to provide technical consultancy and control on the purchase and sale of materials and equipment, to diagnose and remedy electrical and electronic systems and to carry out periodical maintenance, to develop R&D activities and new products or to improve existing products to produce ideas related to the development of the necessary infrastructure.
